Some locals may have noticed construction crews working on the roadways of Sun City West over the past weeks.
Maricopa County Department of Transportation continues its asphalt preservation efforts in the community, applying a sealant to the asphalt on arterial and residential roadways over the course of several phases, according to agency spokesperson Nicole Moon.
“Our crews are working on this project this week, applying preservative seal to the main arterials,” Ms. Moon said. “The sealant will extend the lifespan of the road.”
Application of the preservative seal on residential streets is nearly complete and a project to upgrade to sidewalk ramps in the community will begin later this month. A project to apply crack sealant on local roads is expected to commence in May, Ms. Moon said.
