Surprise Police look for leads on shoplifting

The Surprise Police Department is currently seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a shoplifting suspect.

At about 5:50 p.m. July 5, a male subject exited a Best Buy in the area of Bell Road and Grand Avenue after shoplifting approximately $1,051 worth of merchandise.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a dark colored tank top, black shorts and a white baseball cap.

He has a “Est. 1993” tattoo near his collar bone and other tattoos on his shoulders.

After exiting the store, he left the area in a newer silver passenger car with a temporary license plate.
