Peoria Head Start and a local store were the sites of two unrelated incidents earlier this week, according to police.
On Feb. 13, at about 11:45 a.m., an unknown number of suspects committed vehicle burglary in the parking lot of Peoria Head Start, 11708 N. 80th Ave. According to police, the suspect(s) broke the front passenger window of a vehicle and stole a purse, which contained a wallet, two cell phones and paper items.
No suspect information was available.
At about 5:30 p.m. the same day, a white male and female entered DSW Shoe Warehouse, 7555 W. Bell Road, and selected merchandise from the shelves, according to police.
The suspects removed the security ink tags from the boxes and put the shoes on, leaving their old ones inside the boxes. They then walked out of the store without paying for the items.
