Sun City Posse members will gather to hear from the group’s leadership during the monthly general membership meeting tomorrow.

A Posse member checks out a vehicle prior to a community patrol.

The Posse will meet 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 7 at the Posse headquarters, 10862 W. Sunland Drive.

On the agenda will be a report of the agency’s annual open house, conducted March 5. Division leaders will also make reports about their operations.

The Sheriff’s Posse of Sun City regularly patrols the community, acting as the eyes and easrs of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. While Posse members are unable to conduct traffic stops or make arrests, they can assist deputies with traffic control. Their patrols help spot problems in the community that is relayed to MCSO. The Posse also operates several community service programs, including Block Watch and Funeral Watch.
