Letter to the editor: It’s time for another viewpoint on Trump

After reading several flattery pieces for Donald Trump maybe it’s time for another viewpoint.
Trump told Americans that he would show us his taxes as soon as possible. Can you imagine the screams if a Democrat president had done that?
Trump promised us a wall and Mexico will pay for it. Well we may get some fencing in some places but we get to pay for it. (I’m OK with more border security) but how about the truth?
Trump promised us one of his first moves as president would be to label China as a “currency manipulator.” That never happened. Trump told us the UN was useless, now it’s great, we are told.
The new conservative Supreme Court judge: again, the screams from the Right would havve been deafening if the Democrats refused to approve a Supreme Court judge for nine-plus months. By the way, remember all the Trump attacks on the judges in the USA.
Remember Trump attacking Obama for interfering in Syria when his approvals were low? Well Trump attacked Syria with an approval rating of 41 percent.
Remember Trump attacking Obama’s golfing, and the speeches where he said he wouldn’t have time for golf he would be busy doing the people’s business. Well so far Trump has gone golfing 17 times, far more than any president in history and the travel costs will exceed Obama in two years what took Obama eight years.
Trump exaggerates his successes, blames everyone else for his failures. We have zero proof that millions voted illegally, we have no proof that Obama spied on him. We do have proof that many of his associates, Page and Flynn, to name two, have had meetings with Russia and Page condemned the U.S. in a speech there and Flynn was fired for lying to us about his involvement with Russia.
By the way, where is the canceling of NAFTA? Or for that matter all the other trade agreements Trump railed against?
This isn’t about Hillary as there were plenty of quality GOP candidates in the mix. How any voter who can look past his lying about how he personally screened the staff of Trump University, who over half of the 68 facility members had bankruptcies, foreclosures, credit card defaults, tax liens.
One thing we can all be thankful for Trump and the GOP made it legal to kill hibernating bears, thank goodness for that.
