Letter to the editor: What’s all the flack with transgender bathrooms?

I don’t understand all the flack about transgender bathrooms. A male student who wants to think of himself as female doesn’t have to use the urinals in the MEN’S room. He can use the stalls, like women do in their bathrooms. Conversely a female student who wants to think of herself as male would not likely be using the urinals because her anatomy would not permit it. Maybe all the urinals should be removed and just have stalls with toilets in both MEN’S and WOMEN’S bathrooms, like we have at home.
The real crux of this controversy seems to be that some people question and are unhappy with the sex God created them to have. Since the beginning of time, humans have thought they could improve on God’s creation. Why don’t they just accept being the creatures that God created them to be? But no, the eternal conflict continues every day: Am I going to follow God’s will — or my own?
